i i just had a new member join my forum with the username

•B•

but when i try to look it up in the user admin management section it cant find the user. they have been activated but i think because of the dot things they have used the system cant find them which isnt too good as that mean i cant deactivate or delete them if i need too as i cant even look up their profile. they are on the member list and everything but. any help would be great thanks!

In User Management, instead of inserting a username, use the adjacent feature to fish one from the list.

i have got one from the list but that only shows me their profile not their open profile for me to change things, deactivate or delete them. thats why i need to look up the username!

No, don't access the "Memberlist" function via your Admin CP.

Go to ../User Management, then by the field to type a username, you have the option to search for a member. If you put a * in the box, it will call up all members... then you can select one and it will display the details you are after.

Well I had no problem retrieving their user data/profile via your admin cp.

Are you sure you did it correctly?


First click here:



Then when the pop up window shows, put a star here:



Then select the user from the drop down list:



Then you will find the user's name ready-typed in the original field for you to just click here:

yes that is what i did. then when i click look up user it says

Sorry, but that user does not exist.

oh damn its ok. i use the opera web browser so i just tried it on the internet explorer and it works. thanks so much for that!
