Dear forum admins, if you have any interest in preserving the contents of your forum and all your hard work, please take this advice...
Password Warnings
Time after time, we have seen forums taken over or destroyed by rogue users via insecure or stolen passwords.
Please don't let this happen to you and your forum.
Please be advised that we will not be spending hours reconstructing your forum after the damage is done. We don't have time to try to unravel these dramas and rebuild your forum. Also, it's not fair to the other forum admins who would prefer we spend our time answering their support questions, or developing new features for the forums.
Password Tips
Your password needs to be diffcult to guess. One ForumWise admin lost their work because their password at their Star Wars gaming clan forum was "starwars". People will try to cause problems sooner or later and the best defense is a good password.
Be sure to include a number in your password to increase the security, but remember that it's not going to take too long to guess "starwars3", right? A good password might be something like "me0457WAZ".
Even on your own computer take steps to prevent misuse by other family members.
Also, be aware that logging on to your admin account from different computers may allow your password to be used without your consent.
Be especially careful using school or other common computers.
Changing your password often is a plus. _________________ Mark
