Here's a few tips for using the HTML marquee tag inside your Portal Custom Areas to get vertical scrolling or ticker-style scrolling. Examples are also included.

Great idea! That is awesome! It's added that "something" I was missing!

Have a look at my Logo's of Evil (right side of portal). I had to add the width code though. I used a size of 200. Just add:

width="I used 200"

and insert after the height.

What a coincidence! Very Happy I just added a vertical marquee tag to one of my custom modules a day or so ago. Nice tip, Mark!

EDIT: For my vertical marquee, I used >>width="100%"<<. Also, I find that a scroll speed of 1 works best for longer texts with the standard font size. Otherwise, it's hard to read.

Chickenman, are the logos supposed to be scrolling? I'm using IE and can see the logos but they are stationary.

They used to scroll, but with the background I put in I decided to leave them static. Smile
