I think i know why it isnt working.. but thought id come here to be sure..

I've been trying to add a Frameset into the welcome module on the portal page which then i could add links and would have the information open up in the frame in the welcome module..

unfortunatly i have met with nothing but failure on getting it to work so far... having looked over the pagesource code i fear this is due to the portal page being set up using tables and thus not allowing frames to be nested within the welcome module table...

is this assumption corret? and if so... ideas for getting around this?

Frameset extinguishes/replaces the <body> tags in an HTML document and thus will not work on a website that utilises this tag.

You could try using <iframe> instead.

Yes, that may be tough to implement.

If you know flash you could build a flash application that would respond to clicks and show anything you wanted. But most people don't know flash.

ya, ive played around a little with flash before, but.. know about enough to break something... as for the iframe tag .. after playing with it for a bit its unable to give the desired effect..

and unfortunatly cant use the target= command for links to open up into a table as u can with a frame... which is the desired effect...

on another note, i noticed that in the works is hosting for more pages?... is there a eta when this will be available? or would it be possible to add more pages with the basic layout of the portal page (so i dont have to reconstruct half of it in notepad host it somewhere else and link to it) with more of a customizable effect ?
